I don’t remember exactly when it happened. It was sometime around my late 20’s or early 30’s. I could tell my hair was thinning and I was finding more and more hair follicles on my pillow. I figured the inevitable process of aging was starting. For the next decade or so, the process only progressed. Luckily it happened slowly, but I know the bald spot on the back of my head is growing (just like the number of hairs growing out of my ears).
I realize it could be much worse and I never did anything to try to change the process, but no one likes to experience their hair thinning and falling out. Nothing reminds one of how much older we are, even if we feel young, to look in the mirror and see receding hairlines and their scalp through their hair with balding and thinning hair. I’ve always assumed that there was nothing I could do. I figured that I was doomed based on my genetics. Lately, I’m less and less convinced that is true.
I recently learned about a supplement designed for hair health. I won’t name the supplement here, but I decided to put them on the spot. I’m not one to push for supplements generally and I won’t endorse anything unless I’ve tried it myself (that’s why I’m not naming the product yet) and seen results.
One of the reasons I decided to try this product is because they have a multifaceted approach to hair health. They’re not claiming there is one cause to hair loss, but rather can be a compounding of multiple problems. Their supplement is aimed at addressing all those different problems such as stress, hormones, inflammation, and more.
Here’s my baseline pictures (Day 1):
These are the pictures that I took just prior to starting the supplements. Within the first week of starting the supplements, I did notice some changes I did not expect. In terms of my hair, it felt different. Instead of feeling dry and brittle, it started to feel like softer and more like after applying conditioner (without applying any conditioner). I also noticed improved sleep and healthier feeling skin.
(I will continue to post updates and pictures over time as I progress. Please make sure to bookmark this page and check it to see how things continue to change over the next couple months).
